Drake Accused Of Stealing "Scary Hours" EP Cover Artwork

Producer, Rabit, called out Drake following the release of “Scary Hours.”
On Friday night, most people were doing their regular Friday night stuff and then out of nowhere, Drake decided to stop the earth’s rotation by releasing his Scary Hours EP. The EP consisted of two new singles including the highly-anticipated “God’s Plan” as well as the bar-heavy “Diplomatic Immunity.” It was a nice little treat for anyone who’s been waiting on new music from Drake. However, while most people woke up with some new music for to bump for the weekend, a producer noticed the artwork for Drake’s little EP seemed a little too familiar.
Drake is being accused of robbing the artwork for Scary Hours from producer Rabit’s 2015 Communion Tour poster. The poster was designed by Collin Fletcher who works heavily with Rabit. Rabit posted two images of his tour poster along with Drake’s cover art for comparison.
“today I wake up to see OVO has redone one of my tour posters designed by @collindfletcher for Drake’s new single. Poor Collin is always having his style stolen?lol BUT I love being part of a team that’s so creative and iconic,” he wrote under the caption.
Fletcher later gave a statement to Pitchfork about the scenario.
“This is a story that too many artists, musicians, and designers identify with,” Fletcher said in a statement. “Hopefully this results in a larger conversation about popular culture’s relationship to underground artists.”
Drake nor his team have issued any statements pertaining to the accusations.
