Eminem, Dr. Dre, & Mike WiLL Made-It Are Working On Music

Dr. Dre, Eminem, and Mike WiLL Made-It are cooking something up.
Eminem and Dr. Dre are among hip-hop’s most storied duos, with a vast collection of hits in their discography. However, since 2009’s Relapse, the Good Doctor’s involvement in Eminem’s musical output has been waning; on Recovery he contributed to “So Bad” and “Ridaz,” while sitting out from The Marshall Mathers LP 2 and Revival. And while Eminem has branched out to work with different producers, many have been calling for a reunion between mentor and protégé.
Prior to Revival, it was reported that Eminem and Dre were once again collaborating, but it turned out to be a bit of a false flag. However, the “Chloraseptic Remix” gave fans hope that Em was on the verge of returning to his roots, as the collaboration with 2 Chainz and Phresher was largely received as his best work in recent memory. People immediately began speculating that Em was back in the studio working on new music, simply unable to resist another go-around. Plus, rumors recently emerged that Dr. Dre was back in the game, resuming work on his long lost Detox project. Either way, it’s now looking likely that Em and Dre are cooking something up, and they’ve joined forces with one of the game’s best young producers – Mike WiLL Made-It.
Mike WiLL recently posted a video on his Instagram studio, which found him posted up in the studio with Eminem and Dr. Dre. In the clip, Mike gets a legendary co-sign from Dre, who calls him “real muthafuckin’ hip-hop.” Eminem then points to himself, and self-deprecatingly refers to himself as “fake hip-hop.”
While there’s no actual music to be heard, it’s still cool to see this combination of minds combining for a collaboration. Hard to say when we can expect this one to surface, but as I see it, there are a few options: a new Eminem album, Dr. Dre’s Detox, Eminem’s “Bodied OST,” or a Mike WiLL Made-It project.
