The visuals, which take on a gritty, sometimes eerie tone mesh well with Gerald’s song, which brings this raw, emotional energy to the spots that Beats would have had a hard time replicating by using material from another track or artist. In the end, it’s another win for G-Eazy, who continues his hot streak that began last year, dropping the album of the same name to near-universal critical praise and commercial success. Along with a song like “Him & I,” which features his real-life boo Halsey, G looks to ride this added momentum to even greater heights in 2018.
