Saweetie’s new EP High Maintenance showcases the Bay Area rapper’s versatility. “B.A.N.” shows off some of her most ferocious bars, while “Agua” is hypnotic late night sing-rap. One of the best cuts on the project is “Good Good,” a song that does a good job of splitting the difference between Saweetie’s various strengths. The beat features ring-tone-like synth sounds, setting the rapper up for an incredibly catchy, melodic hook that has the makings of a hit. On the verses, she’s stylish in her delivery, but never short on narrative, as she weaves together engaging stories of phone-tag relationships.
