Rich The Kid\u2019s The World Is Yours closer, \u201cDead Friends\u201d has surfaced, and as expected, there are a few shots fired. As this is, after all, a post-2015 hip-hop beef, the name-calling is at a low. Still, the subs are in full swing, and Rich\u2019s rival Lil Uzi Vert is the clear recipient. It\u2019s hardly a scathing barrage, but it\u2019s still a first blow in what promises to be a strange and unusually melodic beef.<\/p>\n

As for the song itself, it\u2019s much more subdued than previous singles \u201cNew Freezer\u201d and \u201cPlug Walk.\u201d Rich still manages to keep it braggadocious, but there\u2019s a subtle sense of world-weariness in his cadence this time around. It\u2019s cool to see a new vibe from The Kid, and it stands to reason that The World Is Yours will showcase many different sides of the rapper\u2019s musical palette.<\/p>\n
