Apparently, O’Riordan was in London for a recording session. The Cranberries were best known for their hits “Linger” and “Zombie,” which was recently sampled on Eminem’s Revival track “In Your Head.”
\nSince their rise to fame in the mid-nineties, The Cranberries have gone on to sell over forty million albums worldwide. Riordan actually dropped a solo album called “Are You Listening?” in 2007, and eventually reunited with The Cranberries two years later. In 2017, the band released an acoustic album called “Something Else,” which featured unplugged versions of their biggest hits.
\nThe band was actually supposed to tour Europe and North America last year, but some shows were cancelled due to O’Riordan’s ongoing back problems, according to the band. For now, The Cranberries have released a statement on her passing, expressing that her family have requested privacy in the wake of this tragic news.
