“Album’s never done till it comes out.”
Wiz Khalifa first announced a new album, then titled Rolling Papers 2, in 2015. In the three years since, he’s released mixtapes Khalifa and Laugh Now, Fly Later and EPs Pre-Rolleds and Bong Rips, but the proper studio album has yet to see release. In September of last year, he hinted that he may change the title to Khalifa Kush. “Im thinking about changing the name of the album to Khalifa Kush,” he wrote on Twitter. “Rolling Papers was a great experience, but its time to create a new one.” On Saturday morning, Wiz shared an update on his forthcoming album, revealing that he’s still recording material for the LP.
Constantly in the studio. Been writing some amazing songs lately. Albums never done till it comes out. Im gonna be more than happy wit this work when it does.

“Constantly in the studio. Been writing some amazing songs lately,” Wiz wrote on Twitter. As far as when we can expect the project, the rapper didn’t give any concrete information, but assured fans it’s continued to get stronger with time. “Albums never done till it comes out. Im gonna be more than happy wit this work when it does,” he said.
Responding to a fan, Wiz reinforced that the album would be called Khalifa Kush rather than Rolling Papers 2.

Last March, he suggested that the album could be a double LP.

Khalifa released Laugh Now, Fly Later in November. The mixtape brought to mind the hazy weed rap of the rapper’s 2010 breakthrough Kush & OJ. Listen to it here.
